May 2023 As a conceptual mixed media artist, my current body of work intertwines elements of both two and three-dimensional art forms. Through the fusion of nontraditional mediums, such as recycled, reclaimed, and used objects, with traditional materials, my creations transcend their original forms and take on new layers of meaning. Central to my creative endeavors is the exploration of the interplay between the individual and the community, as well as the idea of being lost to oneself and finding solace within the collective whole. I seek to illuminate the interconnectedness of humanity and shed light on the notion that the individual cannot exist in isolation from the larger whole. By casting a spotlight on the universal aspects of our collective human experience, I aspire to foster a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness. My art serves as a catalyst for dialogue and introspection, challenging viewers to reassess their perceptions of boundaries and the complex tapestry of human existence.
